Are the dirt cheap foreclosure houses at < $10,000 for sale in various US cities too good to be true?
I know they may be fixers needing new paint, but are they legal and safe to live in? Would it be reasonable to expect a house to have working electrical working (maybe not up to current codes, but the lights still working), and be safe to occupy, and no mold or other serious safety hazards at this price range? Also would it be in a safe neighborhood to live in?
Only Detroit is that cheap. And no, you can expect the places to be stripped, you will have to renovate them in order to occupy them.
