Are funds for rental assistance? What if I have 3 children of a mother with a disability and going through an eviction?
I lost my job final of 08 November and gave birth to my son so dec/4/08 fell behind in rent last month now I learned that I am renting my house is under foreclosure and the homeowner had fallen behind in paying the water bill (their responsibility) so it has paid off for the $ 360 bill from I have children and needed the water i also have a disabled mother homeowner also has an output that includes utilities so basically I'm pay electricity, so now I have an eviction notice was served by the sheriff and IM wondering what can I do I move likely be easy, but with a mother with a disability who is in bed is a nearly impossible please help me out there are no funds to rent in the county im Florida Broward i I can see my mom and 3 children in the street
As Mom said, are no longer eligible for any public housing program. You were evicted, a landlord is screwed over and not entitled to taxpayer funds. You can search for private funding, your church can be the house you. The Salvation Army will house a homeless shelter. Your mother should contact the caseworker dealing with your SSDI case, she may be able to find a bed in a nursing home. You can even qualify for housing, but not be allowed to live with her.
