What part of the Constitution gives Congress the power to freeze foreclosures and roll back interest rates?
I heard Hillary radio call for a freeze on foreclosures 90 (sub-prime loans), a 5-year freeze on interest rates (on loans sub-prime). Just where will Congress get the authority for millions of legal vacuum, private contracts, freely by millions of people, under current legislation in all 50 states and territories? For all who are concerned about their rights, do not do what President Bush has done pale in comparison?
This is an excellent example … (and many policy initiatives are equally repugnant to Democrats who support the Constitution). For the Democrats, the Constitution is an abstract, arbitrary, obsolete building. They often deal with him only as an obstacle to be circumvented (because it violates openly as it has no support among the public).
