Has anyone had experience buying foreclosure properties? Will banks give out lists of these?

Many foreclosed home default to government agencies such as Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. They have lists of homes available on their websites. They are listed with private Realtors. I sold one of Fannie Mae’s to a buyer a few months ago, it was a long, stressful process, but my buyer made $45,000 overnight.
